Who are we looking for?Carne Group is looking to hire an Internal Audit Manager in our Luxembourg office.What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?
  • ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in an internal audit or risk management role.
  • Strong work ethic along with ownership for all deliverables.
  • Experience in use of AI, data analytics and GRC tools is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Luxembourg, European and/or UK regulatory landscapes and experience in regulatory interaction is an advantage.
  • Foundational understanding of IT risks, cybersecurity and ITGCs is an advantage.
  • Experience managing and developing junior staff members is an advantage.
  • Initiative-taker who can bring ideas to the table and can challenge the status quo.
  • Understanding of governance, risk management and control issues facing the Funds industry.
  • Ability to challenge senior stakeholders effectively while maintaining constructive working relationships
What is your role and your responsibilities?
  • Leading audit assignments as part of delivery of the Group Internal Audit Plan.
  • Performing work in accordance with the Internal Audit Department's standards, methodologies, and processes.
  • Identifying the relevant risks and regulatory requirements relevant to each audit and with respect to the Group Internal Audit Plan.
  • Assisting the Group Internal Audit leadership in development of internal audit infrastructure, including tools, policies, procedures, and templates.
  • Maintaining a solid understanding of emerging financial regulatory risks and industry trends.
  • Building trust and credibility with senior management within the business by demonstrating a professional approach and adding value to management who have considerable experience of their businesses.
  • Preparing high-quality written internal audit reports
  • Communicating audit results and findings to Management, agreeing action plans, and tracking such issues for resolution with agreed timelines.
  • Preparing and delivering periodic IA updates for local Carne entity boards, committees and senior management.
  • Coordinating with Compliance and Risk to support combined assurance frameworks.
  • Contributing to the development of a continuous auditing framework through the application of AI-enabled automation and data-driven insights.
  • Participating in the Internal Audit Quality Assurance & Improvement Programme and supporting readiness for external assessments under the IIA International Standards.
  • Participating in investigations, post-incident reviews or thematic deep dives.
  • Delivering IA-related inputs for regulatory reporting, surveys and queries.
  • Supporting the business in due diligence reviews performed on Carne by clients and delegates.
  • Participating in advisory reviews on process changes, transformations or remediation programmes.
  • Coordinating external specialists to oversee technology-related audit work.
